Denver Outreach

"Wow. As I sit tonight and think of all that happened over the weekend, there's a reason for the heavenlies to celebrate!!! God totally showed up. Not just last night, but in each diff speaking engagement. Valor - 800 kids, Faith Bible - 600 kids, Greenwood Comm Church - 50? 75? kids, and then the OUTREACH - (we're counting tixs but had guestimated 400+/-) I continue to be amazed at how the Lord showed up on Sunday evening at the event. Although not a HUGE crowd by the thousands, after talking to many of you, we'd all agree what an amazing night of ministry and divine appointments it truly was!!!"
Wendy Henkelman, Outreach partner for Denver
Maine Outreach
The outreach in Maine in February was a huge success, from the park jam, to the film premiere, to the gospel being shared, the whole event went off. Thanks go out to Marcus Corey, New Life Church in Biddeford, our second outreach location Sugar Loaf Mountain, and to the countless others who made this outreach happen.
Andy Finch in Europe…

Just limped my way back to the states after a nice crash at the 2nd stop of the Freeride World Tour in St. Moritz, Switzerland. I picked a line with a rocky steep critical section where you don't want to fall. Well I nicked a rock and started carwheeling. Even though I knew I was about to go through a bunch of rocks, I had peace that God would protect me. Pretty calm for how wrong things were going. After bouncing off a couple rocks down a small cliff, I ended back on my feet and rode out to the bottom. Everyone was amazed I was standing, let alone finishing my run still trying to post a decent score! All I could say was God had my back. I found out later that the organizer of the event had already called the medics before I even stopped tumbling down the mountain. Everone said it looked really bad. I honestly felt nothing. Praise God!

Life of Victory Churches premiere

Nations Foundation and Life of Victory Churches youth ministry (LOV Impact Ministry) joined for a premiere on the 18th of January. The night was full of excitement even upon arrival we could feel the energy, passion and love of our hosts. The place was just buzzing! We were honored to partner up with Life of Victory churches. As visitors we could feel the value this congregation has in relationships and hospitality. The night was a win for Nations Foundation, as well as the local church because we are both vary passionate about reaching this generation with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
YoungLife Premiere | Orting, WA

This past week Nations Foundation and Young Life, teamed together for a outreach in Orting, WA. Justin Maschhoff of Orting YoungLife sent us this letter, with hopes that we can continue partnering with YoungLife to spread the gospel:
"With a vision that every teen will have the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and Follow Him; Younglife and Nations Foundation are a perfect match! Joel Parker once told me that the ambition of Nations Foundation is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the snowboarding community around the world. The popularity of snowboarding in our schools and the unique ability of Nations Foundation to minister to kids make them an invaluable resource to YoungLife Clubs across Washington. At a recent screening of "ONEYEAR" we were able to double our Club's attendance and reach an entire new group of kids with the message of Christ's love! I encourage anyone interested in reaching out to this segment of your high school population or in hosting a movie premiere to contact Nations Foundation today!"

The Downtown Throwdown with Nick Visconti
.jpg)

Nations Foundation was out in full force at the 5th annual Downtown Throwdown. The event was held at Occidental Park in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square and covered in 30 tons of snow, with rails, barrels, wall ramp, amped crowd, confused tourists, photographers and 25 invited shredders.
Our very own Nick Visconti was defending his title after winning the 2009 Event. As Jib jams go the Downtown Throwdown has become the biggest urban snowboarding event in North America. “This rail jam is the premier event of the early season because it doesn’t have the aura of a contest. It really is a family of snowboarders smiling, shredding, and getting the public amped on the season,” says Nick.
The Nations crew consisting of staff, core team, and a bunch of stoked groms was out supporting Nick and handing out our film “ONEYEAR”. With signs reading “Nicktory” in hand and over 400 hundred Films now in the hands of spectators, this Rail Jam is a wrap.

New Zealand may be the most beautiful place in the world!

This week has been such an amazing experience so for we have been in New Zealand for 5 days now and I finally got internet access. WOW!!! This really is an amazing place the beauty of the landscape truly reflects the majesty and creative power of our God. But it would still be sweet if I could find network that would let me check my Facebook for more then 6 seconds before it crashes.
We have been based in Queenstown working with YWAM and Lighthouse church, teaching and training 30 kids in evangelism.
These kids are so amazing they will change the world with the gospel, so stoked to be able to build relationship and encourage these guys.

Seattle . LAX . Brisbane . Queenstown .
After 3 long flights equaling twenty hours in the air Mike and I arrived in Queenstown! Our good friends Lauren and Angelina picked us up from the airport and off we went to Wanaka for church at The Lighthouse. The Lighthouse started by Dave Nelson and his family in Mammoth Lakes California and has become a known church to the Ski and Snowboard community. Natalie Nelson Planted the church in Wanaka New Zealand a few years ago and God is truly blessing it! Everytime I attend church there it is like a family reunion. Tonight Andy Finch was helping lead worship with his violin....it still trips me out that Andy Finch plays violin so well.....he is a true renaissance man! Kelly Clark was also there and she is getting ready for the NZ Open which happens next week. It was such an honor to get to preach at The Lighthouse! So fun seeing everyone!! God is good!
I am excited to hang with the YWAM team this week!

Introducing…One Year
One Year Premiere

Sunday, February 15th, we arrived in Bend, OR to show our premier of "ONEYEAR". We were told by staff at the Tower Theater that we would be lucky just to fill the lower seats. As the night progressed, getting closer and closer to the start of the premier, the seats started filling. Not only were the lower seats filled, but every seat in the theater was taken. The doors were locked to prevent anymore people from coming in, and the house was packed. So much, that it was deemed fire marshal full. We were completely blown away at how God moved that night. Seventy people came to know the Lord.
“The premiere was an amazing blessing. With Mt. Bachelor in our backyard, we have so many youth living in Bend that snowboard. We packed the theater with nearly 500 people and everyone watched amazing footage of pro riders along with hearing in-person testimonies of faith. ONEYEAR really made an impact.”
